Judith Spitzer is an award-winning journalist, columnist and online producer.
Spitzer has worked for many newspapers large and small including The Rocky Mountain News, The Denver Post, The Oregonian’s OregonLive.com, The Daily World, and many others.
As editor of a monthly woman’s news magazine in Denver, she wrote several investigative pieces including a story on Denver Police harassment of female officers as well as a story on the Aurora Police Dept. regarding their handling of domestic violence cases and others.
Spitzer is a recipient of the Washington Newspaper Publisher’s Association award for Best Humor Columnist and another from Oregon Newspaper Publisher’s Association for Best Enterprise Stories for a series on domestic violence for Eagle Publishing Group in Portland, Ore.
In November 2007, Spitzer was a Fellow for Total Community Coverage in Cyberspace at the Knight Digital Media Center at the USC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.
Spitzer is an independent journalist and online producer who writes for various news organizations and magazines.
Spitzer is currently a correspondent for the Spokesman Review, the Spokane Journal of Business, Women’s eNews.com and freelance writer for various publications.
